Denis joined ERG in June 2019, focusing on supervising ERG international financing strategies in all regions and managing relationships with investors and creditors.
Prior to joining ERG, Denis had spent 10yrs with investment and commercial banks – most recently as the Head of Project Finance at Sberbank Europe AG and before that as Associate Director at VTB Capital in London and Vienna. In those roles he was directly involved in the financings of major infrastructure operators, advising and arranging large project finance transactions, including the EUR1.2bln 30yr DBFO of Pulkovo Airport and the USD4.5bln 30yr DBFO of WHSD Toll Road in St.-Petersburg. Before joining banks Denis worked at Network Rail Thameslink Programme, developing business cases for London Bridge, Blackfriars and Farringdon Station upgrades. Between 1999 and 2008 he was a senior project planner with Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick (now part of Aecom) and MVA (part of SYSTRA), advising public and private clients on major infrastructure upgrades in the UK, France, CEE, Middle East, Africa and Australia. Denis started his career as economist with the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Government in 1998.
Denis holds a PhD in Management from the Volga State Maritime University and an MBA from the University of Durham.
